GRAND OPENING: Liberty Madison Heights

In June, Liberty celebrated our new Madison Heights, MI, campus (provisioning center and more) with Block Party and Food Drive

Liberty Cannabis kicked off the summer in Madison Heights in June with a “Life is Better” Block Party and Food Drive. The all-day festival and charity event -- featuring food trucks, local craft vendors, product demonstrations, and live bands -- celebrated the opening of our new flagship location and “cannabis HQ” at 29600 Stephenson Highway. Cannabis newcomers and seasoned cannasseurs came together with local leaders and the Liberty team for a day of music, food, art, and supporting local charities.

Our New Flagship Location is One-Of-A-Kind

Festival attendees also got to tour our brand new, 64,000-square foot, vertically integrated facility that’s the first-of-its-kind in Detroit. Our new “campus for cannabis,” boasts a retail dispensary, a state-of-the-art lab, a customer education space, and a cultivation and processing facility that will have 12,500 plants in the ground this summer!

Our newly opened and inviting provisioning center stocks one of the largest selection of products in the state, with over 60 quality brands for our customers to choose from. Just like our stores in Detroit and Ann Arbor, Madison Heights customers were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable wellness guides. As always, our wellness guides were ready to answer any and all cannabis questions to make sure that every customer walked out the door with the best product for their needs, whether it was for their personal enjoyment or wellbeing.

We also led festival attendees on a guided tour of the facility’s cutting-edge lab, which is the only lab in the state to test for terpenes in all products. Liberty cannabis believes that life is better with terpenes, which is why we also offer a terpene bar on-site. At our terpene bar, customers can experience these inviting aromas and learn more about how these beneficial and potent plant essences can improve their cannabis experience.

One of our core beliefs has always been educating our customers, which is why our Madison Heights location also includes a separate, multi-use greenhouse structure. The greenhouse will host brand pop-ups, product demonstrations, and classes so that our customers can further their cannabis education and enjoyment.

Liberty Cannabis Cares About Community

The “Life is Better” Block Party and Food Drive collected donations for the Madison Heights Food Pantry, and was only the latest investment that Liberty has made to thank the community for their support. Our Liberty Cannabis Cares program has already donated $50,000 to improve the Madison Heights community to support local organizations, art, and the environment.

“From tree planting and mural painting in our parks to forming a community advisory board and impact fund, [Liberty Cannabis] continues to deliver on its promise to invest in Madison Heights. We are honored to have Liberty as part of our community,” said Roslyn Grafstein, Mayor of Madison Heights.

The “Life is Better” Block Party was just the first of many local events that we’ll be sponsoring in the near future, including the Madison Heights Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing and the 1st annual Madison Heights Juneteenth Event later this month. As part of our partnership with Madison Heights Food Pantry, Liberty will also be offering our customers a discount on products throughout the month of June in exchange for donating non-perishable food items.

As our CEO Josh Genderson recently said “We will continue to fund projects and initiatives that are important to the city and its residents, because what is important to Madison Heights is important to us.”

To put it another way, Liberty believes that life is better with cannabis, and that Madison Heights is better with Liberty.
